Audio Transcript:
It begins on the hill top.
The rising sun warming outstretched fingers.
We start to trickle down the verdant grass,
slowly, we pick up the pace.
Springing forth from the ground is no easy feat,
and yet we’ve managed to find ourselves carving through the mud and soil.
We are getting bigger now,
stretching,
swelling,
widening our stance.
We are running through the landscape now;
rushing,
galloping,
swiftly moving our legs.
The trees and flowers become a blur as we rush by.
smears of colour against the azure sky.
We become dappled with the sunlight,
radiating her warmth around us.
The horizon changes,
we quickly shift past bridges,
and damns,
and boats,
and buildings,
and people,
moving too quickly to see their faces.
But they look on at us in awe,
stretching out their fingers,
rippling our surfaces,
having the lightest of touches.
And soon enough they’re gone again.
The colours fade away,
and all that’s left is blue.
Endless blue sky,
and the eternal taste of salt.
We have rejoined everyone else,
our pace has slowed
We are forever stretching now,
filling the endless ocean with our kin,
intertwining,
embracing...
Finally home.
